Founded in 1964, House of Hickory has been a barbecue traditon for 47 years.  Located at 1107 Dickerson Pike in Nashville, Tennessee, House of Hickory is a USDA inspected barbecue facility (USDA Est. 7434).  So you can be assured that the finest quality and food safety is maintained.  Well known Pit Master, John Strobel makes sure our quality is the best on a daily basis. Until now, House of Hickory has been primarily focused on its wholesale and food service business.  Restaurant and grocery markets around Nashville have served House of Hickory barbecue for 2 generations.  But now anyone in the US can experience House of Hickory barbecue by simply placing an order via the internet or calling us about one of our many catering plans.  No catering job is too small or too big.  Owner and Chef Lee McWright makes sure of that.

House of Hickory is also very community oriented and environmentally friendly.  House of Hickory offers a variety of fundraiser plans for schools, charities, churches, clubs etc.  And House of Hickory employees can often be seen volunteering in the community.  House of Hickory is also a good steward of the environment.  Even though House of Hickory uses real hickory wood for smoking, no trees are ever cut for the sole purpose of smoking our barbecue.  We only use wood rejected from the hammer handle industry.  This keeps the wood out of the landfill and guarantees House of Hickory a steady supply of quality wood.  House of Hickory also believes in recycling as much as possible.
